Mischa Barton
Mischa Barton was rushed to the hospital where she spent two hours after having a severe reaction when she mixed alcohol with antibiotics over the Memorial Day week-end. She was well enough by Tuesday to leave the country. Mischa is apparently on location somewhere overseas to begin work on a new film production.
Mischa Barton was born on January 24th ,1986 in Hammersmith, London England. Her father is, Paul Marsden, an Englishman, and her mother, Nuala Quinn is Irish. She is best known for her role as Marrissa Cooper on the T.V. drama The O.C. She graduated from the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan in 2004.She became a naturalized American citizen on February 3,2006.
Mischa recently broke up with Cisco Adler vocalist of rock band Whitestarr, reportedly after naked pics of him showed up on the internet.
Barton began her acting career at the tender age of nine, co-starring in off-broadway show Slavs!
Mischa has appeared in several films, including The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill and Lost and Delirious. She has also modeled for Calvin Klein, bebe stores, Dooney&Bourke, JC, and Nuetrogena skin care products, and others.
Mary Kate Olsen
The first time Mary Kate Olsen has played a role without her sister Ashley Olsen, will be on Showtime's "Weeds," an edgy story about a pot-selling mom played by Mary Louise Parker. Mary Kate is used to playing wholesome roles, so this role is a little different from the usual fan-fare roles of goody two-shoes parts. Mary Kate’s role on Weeds involves her playing a young Christian girl, Tara, who falls for the son of a woman dealing pot, which brings out another side of her.
Series creator Jenji Kohan says the show is an adult themed show, not family fare. Kohan, who is also the executive producer, said: "It's an adult show with adult subject matter, and we're confident Mary Kate is right for the role. She came in and read with Hunter and was absolutely charming and real and seemed like a great fit. Audiences have seen only one side of Mary Kate, but here we'll see her in a whole new light." The show premiere's on August 13.

Lindsay Lohan's Mom
Dina Lohan says things and then she acts like she never said any such things. Sorta like her daughter. Last year in August she told US Weekly, “ I love to talk. Lindsay’s friends call me, “The white Oprah”, because they all come to me with their problems.” Then just recently she goes and tells Page Six, “I’ve read all these things, like, I said I’m the white Oprah. I’ve never said that in my entire life. It’s completely ridiculous.”
Well she better become the white Oprah now to her daughter who definitely needs help with her problems. Lindsay’s making a complete ass of herself. Not to mention all the people’s lives she’s putting in danger by her reckless behaviour. Maybe Starbucks can sponsor Lindsay’s 21st birthday. An addiction to cafĂ© latte would at least be easier for her to deal with and a lot safer too.
Lindsay Lohan DUI
Lindsay Lohan cited for investigation of driving under the influence Saturday in Beverly Hills. She was reported to be slightly injured when her convertible struck a curb, police said. Two other people were in Lindsay’s 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., a police spokesman reportedly said. The police were responding to a 911 call. Lindsay, 20 yrs. old, was admitted to a local hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash. Lindsay Lohan will have to appear in court to answer to the citation for DUI.
Lindsay said in January that she was in rehab for alcohol treatment.
“It’s so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab,” Lohan told a magazine publication.
Police officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, a police spokesman reported. Less than 48 hours later Lohan was photographed kneeling on the ground with her back to the camera, and then in the passenger seat of a car, with her mouth open and her eyes closed. The pictures were posted on the web site X17 on Monday. A police spokesman said that the case would be presented to the District Attorney’s Office where Lindsay could possibly face more charges. Tentative arraignment date for Lohan is set for August 24th.
Lindsay definitely needs better friends surrounding her, or she may end up as a cell-mate with Paris Hilton. Maybe her family should book her on the T.V. show Intervention. She certainly seems to need some help with her many problems. She needs to start using some of her great acting skills towards acting like a grown-up.

Michael Jackson On Brunei A-list
Michael Jackson is reportedly being paid $10 million dollars to just show up at Prince Azim of Brunei’s birthday party and mingle with the guests. Michael is the Prince’s favourite singer a silly source told some media outlet. Some guests among the 200 or so are reported to be, Pamela Anderson, the Prince likes big breasted women too I guess, Naomi Campbell, Jerry Hall, Kate Moss, and Faye Dunaway. They reportedly will be watching Anderson’s new movie, Blonde and Blonder which pretty well matches the description of most of the guests who will probably have their heads stuck in their goody bags which will reportedly be filled with thousands of dollars worth of gifts. Dionne Warwick reportedly will appear for a paltry $500,000 thousand dollars, but she will have to sing for her appearance fee.

But a spokesman for Nicole denies the claims, saying she is in fact at home in Glendale, California. The representative tells Tmz.com Richie recently visited her therapist, but her recovery is "an ongoing process" and she is "completely sober."

American Idol Winner + Other Celebrity Bits@Pieces
Jordan Sparks, was crowned the new American Idol on the hit Fox TV show last night, beating out fellow contestant Blake Lewis, as was my call. Lewis and Sparks performed the previous night, with Sparks singing Christina Aguilera’s "Stronger" and Blake belting out Jon Bon Jovi’s "You Give Love a Bad Name." Both singers also performed the custom-made ballad "This Is My Now," with the consensus being that the vocally strong Sparks out duelled Lewis. The two-hour Wednesday night show, held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, included performances by Bette Midler, Gwen Stefani, Tony Bennett, Smokey Robinson and former Idol winner Kelly Clarkson and others.
Angelina Jolie began crying during an interview aired on U.S. TV yesterday morning when talk turned to the death of her mother earlier this year. Jolie's mom passed away in January after a long battle with cancer. In the interview screened on Today, the A Mighty Heart star said, "I'm in a strange, I suppose, place in my life. I think that happens when you lose a parent, where you drop into a different kind of serious. And yet, at the same time, you want to laugh and enjoy as much as possible every day. I'm hanging on to my family really tight at this moment, and, because of that, trying to be as good a woman as I can be in my life." Tears then rolled down Jolie's face and she said, "Dammit, you got me crying." Interviewer Ann Curry apologized and Jolie continued, "It's alright. It's a part of life... I lost my mom. It's a natural thing for a child to lose a parent. I lost my mom too young, but it happened. And I'm happy she's out of pain, because I love her and she's my friend."
Jessica Simpson , 26, flew all the way to Cannes film festival simply to announce Major Movie Star, which doesn't begin production until July 9.
"It's basically this girl who's a major movie star, who wants to be more respected because she always gets the blonde bimbo parts," Simpson explained on the red carpet outside the May 18 party for her aboard Cannes' Budweiser Select Yacht. "She doesn't get the roles she wants and ends up walking in on her costar, who is her boyfriend, and her hairdresser! And she figures she doesn't want this life anymore. So she joins the Marines."
"The script did remind me of Goldie and Private Benjamin, said Simpson. "I adore her and look up to her. I aspire to be her." "One of my favorite female performances is Diane Keaton in Annie Hall. That's one of my all time favorite movies. It's one those movies you can watch and always learn something about relationships and love."
"I'm back on an extreme diet and workout," she said. "I have to be able to do take after take of push-ups and climbing walls and going through trenches and what-not.”
Julia Roberts has reportedly signed up to play the murdered British wildlife conservationist Joan Root. Joan Root helped make many celebrated wildlife movies.
Roberts, 39, will also produce the as-yet-untitled movie, which will begin filming in Africa next year. It will follow Root's earlier life making award-winning wildlife documentaries, before she was shot in her bed by a gunman in Kenya last year. Tim Bevan of Working Title films said the company was "delighted" that Roberts had agreed to be involved. "We are thrilled to be making a film about such a courageous, adventurous and passionate woman," he added.
At the time of the shooting police in Kenya investigated whether she was killed as a result of a botched robbery or assassinated by people objecting to her conservation work.
The announcement of the movie was made at the Cannes Film Festival.
Apolo Anton Ohno, Olympic speed skating gold medalist was crowned Dancing with the Stars Champion. Apolo celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday by winning the (gaudy)mirror-ball trophy with partner Julianne Hough , beating out second-place finishers Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson.
The show drew a slightly larger audience than the final performance of American Idol which aired an hour earlier. Dancing's 16.5 rating and 25 share between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. made it the highest-rated show of the night. (Idol averaged a 16.3/25.) It peaked in the 10:00-10:30 p.m. half hour with a 17.2/26.
Billy Talent and Nickelback lead this year's nominees for the MuchMusic video music awards.

U2 rocked Cannes' famous red carpet Saturday, playing to thousands of filmgoers and fans before a late-night screening of their new concert movie, "U23D."
Directed by Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington, "U23D" captures the band during their Vertigo tour, performing hits that span their career, from "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" to "Beautiful Day."
The film uses the latest 3D technology, and audience members watch through special glasses that resemble ordinary sunglasses, rather than the red-and-green 3D specs of old. Band members appear to leap off the screen during the 55-minute film, due to be released in theaters later this year.
Kenny Chesney collected his third consecutive entertainer of the year trophy Tuesday from the Academy of Country Music. The academy honored veteran George Strait, newcomer Carrie Underwood and gave an unprecedented 14th vocal duo award to Brooks & Dunn.
Chesney, wearing a black cowboy hat, accepted the top award, paying tribute to fellow musicians Keith Whitley and Strait.
"When I first started playing music, I was in college and I would go rent all my equipment and put it in the back of a pickup truck. The only thing I wanted to do was cut a record as good as Keith Whitley did, and I listened to that music over and over again," he said.
Strait, who came into the competition with a leading eight nominations, claimed the first award of the night, winning song of the year for "Give It Away."
Carrie Underwood, the 2005 "American Idol" winner, won album of the year for her debut CD, "Some Hearts," and was honored as top female vocalist.

Rosie and Elisabeth in Cat Fight
Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s squabble on ABC's "The View" on Wednesday seemed particularly nasty with the co-hosts trading accusations and personal digs.
An angry O'Donnell lashed out at Hasselbeck for not standing up for her when media outlets suggested that she'd called U.S. troops terrorists during a previous show. I asked you if you believed what the Republican pundits were saying—you said nothing, and that's cowardly," O'Donnell said.
Do not call me a coward, because No. 1, I sit here every single day, open my heart and tell people what I believe, said Hasselbeck.
O'Donnell and Hasselbeck were shown on a split screen as the argument progressed without commercial interruption.
"Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists? And you would not even look me in the face, Elisabeth, and say, 'No, Rosie,'" O'Donnell said.
Hasselbeck responded in kind, "Because you are an adult, and I am certainly not going to be the person for you to explain your thoughts. They're your thoughts! Defend your own insinuations!"
O'Donnell wrote, "a split screen, new heights, or lows, depending on who u ask," on her blog.
I’m sure the executives of ABC were rubbing their hands in glee. Great for the ratings but only a month to go before Rosie leaves. Who’s gonna pump up the ratings then.

Paula Abdul breaks her nose, fractures her toe trying to avoid walking on her dog, little chubby Tulip.
It was reported in some circles that little chubby Tulip might have to enter rehab for Chihuahuas because of the trauma it suffered during the incident. Paula is recovering and will still be able to appear on American Idol publicist David Brokaw reportedly told media outlets. The dog was not physically hurt but Paulas’s self esteem reportedly took another hit.
Who will be the next American Idol? Jordan Sparks or Blake Lewis! Jordan is the best singer, no doubt there. Lewis has certainly showed his versatility and ability to pull of the pop star persona. Who will win? Dog predicts Jordan.
David Hasselhoff has been given back his visitation rights to his two daughters after they were suspended on May 7th because a video tape showing the recovering alcoholic apparently intoxicated and eating a hamburger of the floor surfaced on media outlets. Hasselhoff said, “It went very well, the truth was told, and I can’t say anymore,” after exiting the court.
Pamela Bach’s lawyer Debra Opri said, “we’re very happy.” David and Pamela have disagreed over child and spousal support for months. Bach’s lawyer had asked that Hasseloff be refused visiting rights to his daughters Hayley (16 yrs. Old ) and Taylor (14 yrs old ) until june 1st. The tape was reportedly made around the end of April.
Hasseloff reportedly is still trying to get the grit out of his teeth.

Paris Hilton Nonsense
Some more nonsense about the celeb free-for-all frenzy surrounding Paris Hilton.
In January, Paris was sentenced to three years probation, fined and lost her driving licence after pleading no contest to an allegation of drunk driving. She was then caught driving with a suspended drivers licence and given 45 days in jail.
The response of the American television chat-show host Jay Leno to Paris Hilton trouble was: “Paris Hilton got 45 days in jail. A lot of people were upset about this – they were hoping for the death penalty.”
Paris Hilton fans signed an on-line petition to Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of California, pleading for a pardon for Ms Hilton on the grounds that: “She provides hope for young people all over the US and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to our otherwise mundane lives.”
In court, as the prosecutor argued for jail time, the defendant’s mother, Kathy Hilton, burst out laughing. When the judge imposed a jail sentence, Mrs Hilton shouted out: “May I have your autograph?” No wonder Paris has no respect for the law.
She gave incredible evidence that was in at least two respects hard to swallow, first she testified that she had no idea that she was prohibited from driving, even though she had signed a document (found in the car’s glove department) stating that her licence was suspended. Secondly, she told the judge that “from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything”.
Paris Hilton won't appeal the 45-day jail term she was sentenced to earlier this month for violating probation, according to court documents filed Thursday.
Hilton is likely to spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, said Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.
Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton would get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.
Paris Hilton will apparently have 24-hour access to prison guards during her time in jail according to some news reports.
It is being reported in some circles that the 26-year-old hotel heiress will be fitted with a special tag when she does her stint in prison. It will feature a panic button that the famous heiress can press if she gets any trouble from other inmates.
My mundane life just becomes more and more exciting with each passing day. Thank you Paris.

Angelina Jolie "A Mighty Heart"
A contrite looking Angelina Jolie, who plays the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in the movie A Mighty Heart was at the Cannes Film Festival promoting the film on Monday. Jolie was accompanied by Brad Pitt and Mariane Pearl.
Jolie told reporters:”For me,so much of why this film was important to do is because I highly doubt there is anybody in this room who has more reason to hold hate inside herself than Mariane, and she doesn't," Jolie told reporters.
"That is, I think, a lesson for all of us," the 31-year-old actress said.
The film was directed by Michael Winterbottom. It begins on the last day Daniel Pearl and his wife Marianne spent together in Pakistan. They were both on assignment as reporters. Mariane was over five months pregnant when her husband was kidnapped. She was heavily involved in the search to find him.Their son Adam was born a few months later.
Pearl said her friendship with Jolie grew over the course of the project. Pearl said, "I think about the fact that my son will see the film one day, and this is a great moment of pain for me," "And this role was played by somebody who loves me, and it means a lot to me." Daniel Pearl was abducted by militants in January 2002. Despite worldwide pleas for his release, he was beheaded nine days later and a video of the killing was posted the Internet.
Jolie said her own pregnancy during the movie's preparatory stages helped her understand what Pearl went through. "I remember being six months pregnant and thinking, 'I can't imagine at this time not having the father with me ... and being concerned about his life, and trying to eat and trying to remember to get some sleep and trying to take a deep breath and physically even just moving around,'" Jolie said. "As a woman, it just made me so much more connected to her and aware of her."
Bravo,Bravo, a serious film with real meaning in todays world. May we all have Mariane’s compassion and forgiveness . I hope it’s a well received movie.

Robert DE Niro and Al Pacino

Britney Spears
During Britney Spears14-minute performance set at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, the backup vocal track she uses on songs started skipping. Britney turned her back to the audience several times in a futile attempt to hide the fact that she was in lip-synch mode. Even with the major goofs, people at the mini concert told reporters that they were glad they got to see the star in person. Guess the guys wanted to catch the Spears new bod?
Sylvester Stallone
An Australian Magistrate fined Stallone $2,450 for bringing banned growth hormone drugs into the country in February. The actor was also ordered to pay $8,244 in prosecution costs.
Shrek the Third won the weekend box office race with $122 million in estimated ticket sales. The total sets the record for the best opening in history by an animated film.
Spider-Man 3 sucked up the other large chunk of weekend money, $28.5 million.

Paris gets time off her sentence for good behaviour.
Seems the authorities in the U.S.A. have given Paris Hilton half off her sentence for showing up in court! The 26 year old vixen is working the system already. By the time she has to report to jail in June, I fully expect to see her sentence reduced even further, like maybe suspended.
Paris should move to Canada. You can rob and kill three people and seriously wound another and still get out of jail in 15 years in Canada. For Paris’s crime in Canada she would be singing for joy by now with only a paltry fine and maybe even a complete discharge of any criminal record because it might interfere with her prospects for getting a job.
So MS. Hilton, when you do get out of that mean old jail down there in that nasty old country of the U.S.A., we have a great need for immigrants here in Canada. I even have a spare room for you until you get back on your feet. Please excuse me now, I have to go shake these fantasies out of my head.

Lindsay Lohan # 1
Lindsay number 1!!!
Lindsay Lohan tops out at # 1 on Maxim magazine hot 100 list. The young fire-cracker actress was ranked by editors on buzz and beauty in film, T.V. music, fashion and sports. Jessica Alba ranked # 2 followed by ,in order, Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, and rounding out the top five was Jessica Biel.
If she can only let this honour not cause more over indulgences and more bad publicity from causing her career to spiral out of control all the way to the top. The boys just love bad girls. She needs to give her publicist a raise!

Aids awareness event in New Delhi, India:
A kiss is a kiss is a kiss, right? Not in India. A seemingly innocent kiss at an aids awareness event planted on the cheek of Celebrity Big Brother winner from India, Shilpa Shetty, by Richard Gere has both of them in hot water with Indian morality police. Gere and Shetty have been charged for the public display, although Gere’s arrest warrant has been temporarily suspended. The judge ordered Shetty to appear in his court May 5, saying she did nothing to resist the kiss, which he called "highly sexually erotic." "The complaints are a complete abuse of the due process of law," her lawyer was quoted as saying by the Reuters agency.
Under Indian law, a person convicted of public obscenity faces up to three months in prison, a fine, or both.
How can the country that gave the world the Kama Sutra be so prudish? It's a longstanding cliché to note that India has produced both the world's most famous guide to love and erotic pleasure and some of the most conservative social rules on kissing in public. That paradox was on display once again this week in the firestorm that swept India following a seemingly innocent celebrity kiss on the cheek at an AIDS-awareness event by Mr. Gere.
RICHARD GERE QUOTES:
“Kissing the girl on the cheek was nothing. It was an AIDS event for truck drivers. It was the largest truck depot in South Asia. They were climbing on their trucks cheering. We went and had dinner afterwards and nobody said a word about this.”
“There is a very small right-wing conservative party and they are the moral police in India and they do this quite often. I don’t know if anyone has gone to jail, but a case like this usually goes to a reputable court and is thrown out.”
"What is most important to me is that my intentions as an HIV/AIDS advocate be made clear, and that my friends in India understand that it has never been, nor could it ever be, my intention to offend you," Gere said in statement issued by the Heroes Project, an organization the actor co-founded to combat AIDS in India.

"I would hope that the media could now end the circus around this episode and dedicate its positive resources and expertise to the eradication of HIV/AIDS and other preventable diseases," Gere said. "That's what's really important here."
Gere said Shetty was not to blame for the incident."I've felt terrible that she should carry a burden that is no fault of hers," he said.
I’m with Richard on this one. This is only a bogus media grabbing attempt by far to far right, far right zealots. But Richard please no more kissing in public in India. Those far right conservatives may behead you next time. Remember the Dalai Lama lives in Dharamsala, northern India, Mr. Gere. Seek his advice before you go around kissing women in public in India.

Poor golden boy Brad Pitt gets doubled crossed by boyhood hero Jesse James . It seems Warner Brothers studio exec’s decided to put the film, heavily invested in by Pitt, into small American art house cinemas and cut down on advertising. Pitt could stand to lose millions in the 40 million + dollar movie. It seems the studio couldn’t convince Pitt to shorten the movie’s title from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, phew, or at least make the movie into an action packed epic. I guess Pitt doesn’t think anyone knows about his boyhood hero being murdered by Ford. It’s an old story Brad. And what the hell has Jesse James dying at the age of 34 have to do with making a movie about him at the age of 44? Doh! Oh well maybe Jesse can yet save Hollywood golden boy .

A Paris Hilton quote???
“I'm totally normal. I think it's obnoxious when people demand limos or bodyguards. I eat at McDonald's or Taco Bell. My parents always taught us to be humble. We're not spoiled.”
I hear they serve humble pie in jail these days, of course without bodyguards or delivery by limo, although Paris will probably be allowed to order pizza from jail. I can't see the jail guards refusing to cater to her,I know I couldn't.

Paris Hilton not only has to deal with going to jail, defending herself against a defamation lawsuit but now Lindsay Lohan tops Maxim's hot 100 list. I can hear poor,I mean rich little Paris complaining to her cellmate now. Where's her sex tape, wah, wah, wah. She doesn't even have a T.V. show. I'm hotter than all you wanna be sluts! I'll be back she reportedly said to Arnold in a telephone conversation with the terminator. I may not be capable of any meaningful participation but then was I ever? They all just wanna @%$& me when I'm down she reportedly said to her mother who reportedly said, yea Paris that's what they all wanna do. You just have to make sure there's no camera's around when they do it. Your's truly Dog:

According to a declaration filed by Dr. Charles Sophy, a psychiatrist who has seen Paris "off and on" over the last six months, Hilton is "not capable of any meaningful participation" in a civil trial brought against her by diamond heiress Zeta Graff. In a $10 million lawsuit filed in 2005, Graff claims that Hilton spread "vicious lies" about her that were printed in the New York Post.
