The Mercury Prize nominations were announced today in Britain. The Artic Monkeys and Amy Winehouse are the top favourites to win. The Artic Monkeys won last year and my money is on them to win again this year. Although the wino will give them a good run for their drinks, I mean money.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on September 4.
The 12 albums in the running for the £20,000 prize are:
